To Ventilate or not to ventilate: This course is comprised with theory and hands on skills.  Theory portion includes; horizontal or vertical, PPV, nozzle, or naturally vented openings. Understanding the building, fire behavior, nozzle work, and hands on skills with rotary & chainsaws, ladders, PPV.  Lessons learned from LODD reports Ul/NIST to hands on training as well as real life experience.  This will be an all encompassing class to gain knowledge and ability to ventilate a structure if conditions warrant it.  Take what you learn and bring it back to your department and make it your own. 

Prerequisites: FFB , SCBA & GLR

Clothing: Full Turnout Gear / SCBA., hearing protection. 

SCBA bottles must have recent hydro testing indicated on cylinders or they will not be refilled
